Computer Science positions (vehicle controls and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS))

There will be food and representatives from General Motors for student employment opportunities. They are looking specifically to hire Computer Science students in the area of vehicle controls and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The automotive industry is changing and is important for Ontario. It also is an industry known to have a large gender gap in its workforce. It is also a lot more than just engineering-its marketing, economics, environment and more. Lets come together and talk about the importance of the automotive industry in Ontario, the changing technology in the field, and how we can address the gender gap to ensure a diverse and creative workforce. 

You can also check out all the automotive student teams on campus and see the 2016 Camaro that will be turned into a Hybrid.

Come to UWAFT’s panel Q&A with MPP Catherine Fife! Catherine is serving her second term as MPP for Kitchener-Waterloo, is Finance and Treasury Board critic for the NDP, and sits on the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs and Ontario Bioscience Innovation Organization all-party caucus. 

Also on the panel will be Ross McKenzie, managing director of WatCAR, Stefanie Bruinsma, power-train engineer for GAIA, and Daniel van Lanen, project manager for UWAFT.

Grad students needed to mark reports for PD2

WatPD is currently seeking graduate students to mark reports for PD2: Critical Reflection and Report Writing from late-March to early-April. Students in this course must write a 16-20 page report which is worth 50% of their final grade. With over 1500 reports expected to be submitted, we need your help!
