Undergraduate Computer Science Conference - CUCSC 2015 CCÉI

We are delighted to announce that the Canadian Undergraduate Computer Science Conference/Congrès Canadien des Étudiants en Informatiques (CUCSC/CCÉI) will be held at the University of British Columbia Okanagan campus in Kelowna, BC from July 8th to 11th, 2015. This will be the first conference ever to be held in Canada directed towards undergraduate students interested in pursuing a vocation in computer science. This conference is an international event so we welcome people from around the world to participate and spread the word!
The CUCSC/CCÉI is a bilingual conference in English and French that will include keynotes presented by a diverse array of professions related to the computer science field including university professors from around the country, entrepreneurs and professionals in the industry. These talks will allow students to gain a broader view of what is beyond their school environment as well as a chance to connect with the larger community. In addition to attending the talks, we fully welcome students to present talks of their own to share their research, projects they’ve been working on or a topic of interest to them. We are positive this conference will assist the aspiring undergraduates of all levels to realise and achieve their full potential.
One of the main highlights in the CUCSC/CCÉI is the “Women in Computer Science” night which will provide a wonderful opportunity for women in the field to connect with one another and to share their expertise. We are hopeful that this event will also further promote and encourage prospective female students as well as current undergraduates to pursue their interest in computer science.
This is the first conference of its kind to be held in Canada and we hope that you and your students will partake in it. Please let your students know that funding is often available for attending conferences.
For further information, please contact us at, or check our Facebook page for updates.
